Steve's Latest Reviews
We've been extremely busy over the past few weeks, with all the new cameras announced at Photokina, and all the units we have in house for review.Last week we posted our hands on look at Canon's latest compact super-zoom, the PowerShot SX130 IS. This is a powerful, yet affordable camera that boast 12-megapixels of resolution, a 12x optical zoom with wide field of view, Canon's Optical Image Stabilization, 3.0-inch LCD screen, a manual pop-up flash, and much more. All this is stuffed inside a compact frame that easy to keep with you; note quite pocketable, unless you have large cargo like pockets. Head on over to Steve's Conclusion to see how well the SX130 performed.
Next, we updated our Olympus E-5 first look to a complete in-depth camera review. This professional level dSLR is aimed towards those who demand a powerful and capable camera package, that can also stand up to bad weather and/or dust storms where many photogs find themselves on a regular basis. This unit replaces the E-3 as Olympus' new Flag Ship dSLR camera. To get the low down on the E-5's image quality and shooting performance, check out Steve's Conclusion as well as our unedited sample photos.
