We've just finished up testing Canon's latest G-series powerhouse, the G12. Their flagship model in the PowerShot line of compact cameras, the G12 is loaded with powerful features and exposure control options, many of which you'll find on a dSLR. This "Prosumer" or "Bridge" camera boasts some impressive specifications, such as a large 1/1.7-inch, 10-megapixel image sensor, 2.8-inch Vari-angle LCD screen, wide view 5x optical zoom lens with fast f/2.8 maximum aperture, 720p HD video recording, broad ISO sensitivity range (80-3200 in 1/3 EV steps), and much more.
