Sony's NEX Update Adds AF Support for A-Mount Lenses
Downloading and installing the firmware will give your camera the ability to use autofocus with 14 different A-mount lenses when using the LA-EA1 mount adapter. We've got the full list of supported options for you below.
In addition to the lens news, you'll get aperture priority mode for HD video recording, customizable soft keys, a new setting for opening the menu and a manual focus assist mode. Using MF assist, the screen will zoom in to show one part of the picture and allow you to see when you're really in focus.
The firmware is currently available from Sony Europe, but it's not yet listed on the support page for Sony USA.
