Sony NEX-VG10: The NEXt Generation in Handycams

Sony has just announced an amazing new Handycam, the NEX-VG10. Claimed to be the "World's First Consumer Interchangeable Lens HD Camcorder", the NEX-VG10 is packed full of Sony's impressive technologies, many of which were first seen on their NEX-3 and NEX-5 Alpha models.

The NEX-VG10 stands out amongst other high-end camcorder offerings with unique specifications like an APC-C sized (23.4x15.6mm) Exmor CMOS image sensor, which is approx. 19.5 times larger than the standard 1/2.88" CMOS sensor used on conventional digital camcorders. Not only does this unit help the NEX-VG10 capture exceptional AVCHD video at 1920x1080 (60i), but it also allows for 14-megapixel still images with dSLR-like quality.
