Sony Launches Two New Compact Super-zoom Cameras: the Cyber-shot HX90V and WX500

DSC-HX90V_180-tilt-1200.jpgSony has just launched two of the world's smallest compact cameras to offer 30x optical zoom lenses; Carl Zeiss lenses at that. The new Cyber-shot DSC-HX90V (pictured above) and DSC-WX500 share nearly identical specifications, with only a few distinct differences (more on that in a second).

Both cameras offer 18.2-megapixels of resolution, 30x optical zoom lenses, tilting 3.0-inch LCD screens, full 1080/60p XAVC S video capture, and built-in Wi-Fi and NFC. The HX90V adds GPS functionality and a retractable OLED viewfinder. Looking at them side by side, you can hardly tell the difference between the two, with only a few small features that allow you to differentiate between them.
