Sony Launches Their Fastest Memory Stick Yet

Though Sony has learned to embrace SD cards with dual card slots offered in most of their newer digicams, there are still plenty of cameras and other devices out there that use the company's proprietary Memory Sticks. Sony's PRO-HG Duo HX is the fastest yet.

The brand new PRO-HG Duo HX is the latest addition to Sony's Memory Stick lineup, and it's a nice step up for those using the older Sony cards. Thanks to HX Engine technology, Sony boasts read/write speeds of up to 50 MB/s.

Sony's new card also offers a 10 year warranty and a program called File Rescue that can be downloaded by any registered Memory Stick owner. The data recovery program has a 90 percent success rate when used to bring back corrupted and damaged files from the brink.

The new card is available this month in sizes ranging from 8GB on up to 32GB.
