Sony Details RMT-P1BT Wireless Remote Commander

Sony has revealed a new Wireless Remote Commander. The RMT-P1BT supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to wirelessly control select Sony cameras.

Perfect for a variety of wireless shooting applications including landscape photography, architectural photography, astrophotography, still motion photography, and group portraits, the RMT-P1BT features a coverage range of about 16.4 ft. Likewise, the device provides a very fast response time (within around 0.05 seconds  release time-lag), enabling precise capture. The remote itself includes functions for focus, a C1 custom button, Start/Stop movie recording, and power-zoom or digital-zoom control. 

In addition, the unit is dust, moisture, and temperature resistant, enabling use in a variety of settings. Finally, the remote also incorporates an LED light indicator to confirm connectivity to the camera and provide clear visual feedback for controls like shutter, movie recording, and AF.
