Sony Comments on Flip Cancellation - The Bloggie Stays

When Cisco pulled the plug on the Flip - a compact consumer video camera that just a few years ago seemed to own the market - one of the most interesting points of speculation was just what this meant for the rest of the industry.

The folks at Sony say that Cisco's decision doesn't change their plans. Sony blogger Gina says that the company is still dedicated to bringing Bloggie cameras to consumers. "We've seen a large demand for small, easy and affordable devices with edgy features like 3D video and dual screens," she writes.

The release of Sony's latest Bloggie video camera is just a few days away. On Wednesday, April 20th, the Bloggie 3D HD will be available for purchase, bringing users an inexpensive way to jump into 3D.
