Sony Announces Two Powerful New Cyber-Shots

Late last night Sony unveiled two powerful super-zoom cameras, the Cyber-Shot DSC-HX9V and DSC-HX100V. Both offer fast 16-megapixel "Exmor R" back-illuminated CMOS image sensors, full 1080p AVCHD video recording, Intelligent Sweep Panorama HR (High Resolution), 3D still image capture including 3D Sweep, and built-in GPS functionality.





sony_HX100V_Left_550.jpgThe HX9V is a compact camera with a fixed high-res 3.0-inch LCD screen and a Sony G 16x optical zoom lens, while the HX100V has a dSLR-like body that boasts a tilting 3.0-inch screen and a versatile Carl Zeiss 30x optical zoom lens. Both models offer Sony's proven Optical SteadyShot image stabilization system.
