Sony Adds A Powerful New Cyber-shot: the RX10

Alongside their Alpha 7R and Alpha 7 announcements, Sony also unveiled an appealing new RX-series Cyber-Shot; the RX10. This powerful model builds on the success of their RX100 and RX100 Mark II, offering the same 20.2-megapixel 1-inch Exmor R CMOS image sensor. However, the RX10 takes things in a slightly different direction. Instead of focusing on small size, Sony has given the RX10 a nice large body, which houses a superb 24-200mm Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar T* zoom lens; which boasts a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout the zoom range. If that doesn't get you going, this model boasts dust and weather sealing, their new BIONZ X processor (the same one used in their new full frame Alpha 7 models), full HD video recording at 1080/60p, a new Direct Drive SSM (Super Sonicwave Motor) AF mechanism for super fast AF performance, a high-quality OLED Tru-finder EVF, built-in Wi-Fi with NFC tech, a 3.0-inch "White Magic" LCD display, and a host of intelligent and advanced exposure options.

All in all, the RX10 is one attractive package. For more info, see our Sony Cyber-Shot RX10 Preview.
