Sony Adds 3D Photo Support to the PlayStation 3

3D photography is exciting, and while there aren't too many 3D cameras on the market yet, the ones that are seem to be priced well within the reach of the average consumer. The problem of course, is that after you take those 3D pictures, you'll need a way to look at them.

If you've got a 3D capable television and a PlayStation 3 then you're in luck. A new program called PlayMemories allows you to view both 2D and 3D photographs on your TV via your PlayStation 3 videogame console.

Sony also boasts that PlayMemories will allow you to easily view 3D panoramic photos taken with the new 3D Sweep Panorama function for Sony 3D cameras.

The PlayMemories application is free and can be downloaded directly from the PlayStation Store.
