Sony Japan Announces Upgraded and Interpolated CyberShots

According to the Sony Japan web site they are releasing updated DSC-F505V and DSC-F55V CyberShot models with 3.34 megapixel imagers. Not even on the market yet and already controversial -- the new CyberShots have 3.34 megapixel imagers but Sony says they only use 2.6 megapixels for the image and then interpolate that up to 3.7 megapixels (2240 x 1680) for the final image. The new cameras will be available in Japan in June and July.
