Sony Announces Fully Featured 7-Megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-V3, Designed for Photo Enthusiasts


SAN DIEGO, Aug. 30, 2004 ? With its 7.2 megapixels and a Carl Zeiss lens with 4x optical zoom, the new Cyber-shot DSC-V3 puts outstanding image quality, sophisticated controls and a compact ergonomic design in the hands of photo enthusiasts. Providing all the versatility of a much larger camera, the V3 is a compact, classic rangefinder-style camera featuring a large easy-to-handle grip. The new design incorporates a 2.5-inch LCD viewfinder and is powered by Sony?s Real Imaging Processor circuitry for fast start-up and shot-to-shot times. It has dual media slots (Memory Stick and CompactFlash I), records JPEG, TIFF or CCD RAW file formats, high-speed burst captures up to eight full-resolution images at more than two frames per second. Thew V3 also features Sony exclusive Hologram AF focusing system, NightShot and NightFraming modes with infrared illumination, PictBridge direct print capability, flash hot shoe and lots more.
