Six New Digicams from Olympus

Late last night, Olympus USA announced six new cameras for their FE, Stylus, and Stylus Tough lines.

oly_stylus_tough3000_blue_1024.jpgTheir latest Lifeproof camera, the Stylus Tough 3000 offers all the same waterpoof, shockproof,. and freezeproof specifications we have come to love and expect from this line of compact cameras. This is Olympus' first Tough model to offer 720p HD video recording to its list of features, which also include 12-megapixels of resolution, a wide 3.6x internal optical zoom lens, and SD memory card compatibility (Finally!!). We're excited to see this one, as these Lifeproof models have a lot to offer for those who lead an active lifestyle.


oly_stylus7040_blue_1024.jpgNext we have three new Stylus models, the Stylus-7040 and Stylus-7030 and Stylus-5010. While these units do Not offer any type of waterproofing or weather resistance, they do include some very appealing features for those looking for a durable pocket camera. All three models sport 14-megapixels of resolution, Olympus' Art Filters, 720p HD video recording, and AF tracking. The 7040 and 7030 offer a 7x optical zoom lens, while the 5010 sports a 5x zoom in a slimmed down frame.

Olympus also added two new models to their affordable FE-series of compact point-n-shoots. The FE-4020 and FE-47 offer 14-megapxiels, moderate zoom lenses ( 4x on the 4020, and 5x on the 47), and SD memory card compatibility.
