Silicon Power Announces 400X 128GB CF Card

It wasn't long ago that having a single gigabyte of space on a CF card was unthinkable.  Now our drawers are cluttered with 1GB cards that we'd sooner toss or donate than use.  And just when we think we've reached the upper limits of flash memory, someone goes and tops it again.

The new 400X 128GB CompactFlash card from Silicon Power is the first of its kind.  With the release of this new card, Silicon Power brings a write speed of up to 90MB/sec and a large amount of storage space to CF cards.

The new card supports PIO Mode-6 and Multi-Word DMA 4 in quad channel configuration.  Silicon Power has included Error Correction Code (ECC) functionality to make sure your data stays accurate, and Wear Leveling technology that makes sure you get as much life as you can out of your card.

It's got a lifetime warranty, and it's rated to plug and unplug without wear at least 10,000 times.  Assuming you pop it in and out of your camera ten times a day, every day, you're still going to get about three years out of it before it goes.
