Sigma's 120-300mm F2.8 is Shipping in the US

The 120-300mm F2.8 EX DG OS APO HSM is the latest lens from Sigma, and is designed to take the place of the older version of the same lens. Sigma says their new lens is an essential for both sports and wildlife photographers.

Among the additions to the lens is the new "F" Low Dispersion glass elements and a splash-proof design that help to eliminate possible minor water and dust damage.

"Think of this as a prime 300mm F2.8 in terms of its ultra-high resolution," says Sigma president Mark Amir-Hamzeh, "with the added bonus of it being an F2.8 constant-aperture zoom lens that allows the photographer to recompose the scene anywhere from 120mm to 300mm without having to change their capture position. There's really no other lens like it."
