Sigma's 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro Lens Available Now

Sigma-105mm-f2.jpgSigma's new macro lens was made to be a bit versatile - it can handle close up shots of insects and other small creatures, but it's also capable of handling facial portraiture as well.

The new lens utilizes a floating focusing system, which moves two different lens groups to different positions. It compensates for a variety of aberrations and a multi-layer coating helps to reduce flare and ghosting.

"This is our fourth prime macro lens and the second of which that now includes our Optical Stabilization technology, which steadies the image for handheld use," says Sigma president Mark Amir-Hamzeh. "This is yet another example of Sigma's dedication to providing an array of unique lens that capture incredible imagery."

The new lens is available now at an MSRP of $1,400.
