Sigma Launches Pre-Orders for 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens

Sigma has announced the release of its 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens. The device is currently available for pre-order for Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E, and Sigma SA mounts via B&H Photo-Video for $1,399.

The Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens is a wide-angle prime lens designed for versatile shooting applications. The lens features an advanced optical design with two F Low Dispersion (FLD) and three Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations. Likewise, the unit includes a Super Multi-Layer Coating as well to reduce ghosting and flare, along with a protective water and oil-repellent coating on the front lens element. In addition, a Hyper Sonic Motor is also integrated, enabling the lens to offer fast and quiet autofocusing or the option for full-time manual focus override. Finally, the device utilizes a rounded nine-blade diaphragm for pleasing bokeh effects.
