Sigma Launches Pre-Orders for 3 New E-Mount & L-Mount Lenses

Sigma has detailed three new additions to its lineup of Sony E-Mount and Leica L-Mount lenses. The collection includes the 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art Lens ($1,499, E-Mount, L-Mount), the 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens ($1,399, E-Mount, L-Mount), and the 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens ($549, E-Mount, L-Mount). Pre-orders are now live through B&H Photo-Video with shipments expected to launch in late July and mid August.

The 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art Lens is the company's first f/1.2 maximum aperture prime lens. The unit features an optical design with three low dispersion glass elements and three aspherical elements, including a double-sided element to minimize spherical aberrations and distortion. In addition, the device uses a large Hyper Sonic Motor for quick and quiet autofocus performance, along with full-time manual focus override. Finally, a rounded eleven-blade diaphragm is integrated as well for pleasing bokeh.

Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art Lens

The 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens is wide angle zoom lens designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras. The optical design features five Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and one F Low Dispersion (FLD) element, along with three aspherical elements to reduce chromatic aberrations, color fringing, spherical aberrations, and distortion. Likewise, the device uses a Super Multi-Layer Coating and a Nano Porous Coating to minimize lens flare and ghosting. Full-time manual focus is also supported, and the lens includes a stepping motor for high-speed autofocusing.

Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens

The 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens is a normal-length prime with 8 elements in 7 groups. In addition, the unit features a rounded seven-blade diaphragm for pleasing bokeh. The lens is rated for a 9.5" minimum focusing distance, and the device incorporates a stepping AF motor for fast and quiet auto focus performance. Likewise, full-time manual focus control is also offered.
