Sean Penn Gets Three Years Probation for Attack on Photographer
The paparazzi: love them or hate them, there's one thing you can't do, and that's hit them. Sean Penn learned that the hard way after a scuffle with a photographer back in October of last year. Penn was caught on tape physically attacking the photographer and was brought up on criminal charges.
Penn pleaded 'no contest' in the case and was given 300 hours of community service and 36 hours of anger management training as his punishment. The community service will be simple for Penn, who is currently working for hurricane relief in Haiti.
This isn't the first time Penn has attacked a photographer, but compared to the earlier incidents - in 1985, it was alleged that Penn hung a photographer by his ankles from a hotel balcony - this one was a walk in the park.
