Samyang has detailed the latest addition to its lineup of digital camera lenses. The XP 10mm F3.5 is set to launch this spring for Canon EF cameras. Pre-orders are now live under the company's Rokinon brand through B&H Photo-Video. In addition, a version of the lens for Nikon F mounts is also in the works.

The ultra-wide prime lens offers up to a 130° angle of view without distortion, making it a great fit for landscape, interior, and architectural photography. The unit's optical design features 18 elements in 11 groups, including 3 aspherical lenses, 1 high-refractive lens, and 3 extra-low dispersion lenses to enhance color and sharpness while minimizing various aberrations.

Likewise, ultra-multi-coating technology has been employed as well to reduce flare and ghost effects. In addition, the device incorporates a seven-blade diaphragm and a built-in petal-shaped lens hood to help protect the lens and block stray light.
