Samsung's New Galaxy S10 Smartphones Feature Triple Rear Camera Systems & HDR10+ Recording

Samsung has detailed its new lineup of Galaxy S10 smartphones, including the S10, S10+, S10e, and S10 5G. Likewise, the company has also revealed its unique Galaxy Fold mobile device. The upcoming collection features an assortment of new camera features geared toward casual and advanced users.

"Galaxy S10 builds on that incredible legacy, and delivers breakthrough display, camera, and performance innovations. With four premium devices, each built for a unique consumer in mind, Samsung is leveraging a decade of industry leadership to usher in a new era of smartphone technology."

The flagship Galaxy S10+ features a 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Curved Dynamic AMOLED 19:9 (522ppi) display and a triple rear camera system. The rear side of the unit includes a wide angle 12MP camera, a telephoto 12 MP camera, and a new ultra-wide 16MP camera with a 123-degree FOV ideal for capturing expansive landscapes and large panorama shots. Meanwhile, the front side features a 10MP Selfie camera and an 8MP RGB Depth camera. Likewise, the device offers rear HDR10+ video recording capabilities, along with rear and front camera UHD video recording capabilities. Super Steady recording with digital stabilization technology is included as well, and the smartphone utilizes AI camera tech with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU), Scene Optimizer, and Shot Suggestion feature. 


A suite of new effects for lighting and background blur are also provided for photos, along with an Instagram Mode that integrates Instagram features right into the Galaxy S10 camera app. In addition, Samsung announced that a special version of Adobe Premiere Rush CC optimized for the Galaxy S10 will also be available, offering extensive video editing options. 

And for smartphone users who want an even more advanced camera system, Samsung has also revealed a larger Galaxy S10 5G model with a quadruple rear camera which adds a 3D Depth Camera for 3D-image capturing to power Video Live focus and Quick Measure. The Galaxy S10 5G also boasts a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ Curved Dynamic AMOLED 19:9 (505ppi) screen.

Galaxy_Fold.jpgFinally, Samsung's new Galaxy Fold includes an advanced six camera system of its own with a rear 12MP wide angle, rear 12MP telephoto, rear 16MP ultra-wide, front 10MP selfie, front 8MP RGB Depth, and cover 10MP camera. The luxury mobile device serves as a smartphone and tablet in one. When folded, the Galaxy Fold offers a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED (21:9) display, providing a compact and portable smartphone experience. In addition, users can unfold the unit to reveal a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED (4.2:3) display, offering a larger tablet experience.

The Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10e will start shipping on March 8. Pre-orders will launch on February 21 with prices starting at $899.99 for the Galaxy S10, $999.99 for the Galaxy S10+, and $749.99 for Galaxy S10e. Pricing and availability for the Galaxy S10 5G have not been announced yet. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Fold will launch on April 26 with prices starting at $1,980.
