Samsung Takes #DitchTheDSLR to Seattle for the Inaugural PIX Photo Expo

DITCHtheDSLR_Logo.jpgSamsung has just announced that they will be taking their popular #DitchTheDSLR event to the Pix Photo Expo in Seattle next month. For those not familiar with the #DitchTheDSLR movement, this event encourages shutterbugs to trade in their old used DSLRs for a brand new Samsung mirrorless interchangeable lens camera; free of charge. That's right, Samsung allows you to trade in your old DSLR for a brand new NX-series ILC.

SAM_DTDSLR_1.jpgLast year they held this event in Hollywood, and our Content Manager, Michael Palmer, was able to attend. He traded in his "well-worn (and loved) Canon EOS Rebel T2i" for a NX30. You can see his coverage of the the entire event over at Steve's Darkroom, with his article titled:  Going Mirrorless: I Ditched a DSLR for a Samsung NX30

This year, on October 6th & 7th, Samsung will be trading consumers their new compact NX500 ILC, which we've had the pleasure to fully test. For more details on the NX500, see our hands on review here. To learn more about the #DitchTheDSLR event, see their official press release below.
