Samsung NX1 v1.40 Firmware adds Numerous Enhancements

Samsung_NX1_front_angled_mid.jpgSamsung has released Firmware Version 1.40 for the NX1, adding a number of improvements including better Autofocus while zooming with supported lenses, Digital Image Stabilization, Improved Sound Quality, more photos in a row using Continuous Shooting Modes, and other features designed to enhance your shooting experience.

Samsung says the following new features will be available after updating your NX1 to firmware versions 1.40:
  • Increased minimum shot counts using Continuous Shooting Mode: 15fps JPEG : 70ea → 90ea. 15fps RAW: 20ea → 25ea
  • Added Video DIS (digital image stabilization), except when using 120p, VGA size video
  •  Added AEL at M mode, ISO Auto setting
  • Added Focus Peaking menu in button setting menu
  • Improved AF to work during zooming, with 6 Supported Lenses including the 16-50mm S, 50-150mm S, 16-50mm PZ, 18-55mm III, 12-24mm, and 50-200mm III. Lens Firmware should be updated by iLauncher to take advantage of this feature.
  • Added Flash Exposure information display on Live View when Flash is ON
  • Improved battery display to show both internal & external remains together when vertical grip is mounted
  • Improved Playback speed when reviewing photos
  • Improved sound quality of external Mic. with Auto MIC Control OFF
  • Fixed minor bugs
