Ritz Camera is Shutting its Doors

It's been a tough couple of years for Ritz camera, and last week the company was put up on the auction block in hopes of finding someone to keep things alive.  The high bidder for the camera chain is Hilco, which makes its money through liquidations.  That means it's time to say goodbye to Ritz and Wolf camera stores.

The photo lab services may still end up operating, as they've been bought out by another company, but there are no specifics one way or the other quite yet.

Speculation is that we'll only have Ritz and Wolf stores around for another seven weeks, so get in while you can, use your giftcards and say goodbye to the biggest brick and mortar camera chain in the US.
