Questra Corporation Demonstrates H-P's JetSend Technology at Consumer Electronics Show

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Questra Corporation, a leading professional services firm specializing in embedded software and hardware development for digital imaging and multimedia industries, will be demonstrating the connectivity potential of Hewlett-Packard's JetSend communications protocol at this year's Winter CES show. The demonstration will be in the Questra booth, #5214 in the Digital Imaging Pavilion, at the CES held in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Questra developed the prototype in only eight weeks, highlighting the company's ability to adapt new technologies to enhance product features. Questra engineers have created a unique application that allows a digital camera to send digital images instantaneously to a set top box. The image is then automatically displayed on a TV monitor. Using infrared communications, the link is wireless. Questra designed the demonstration to illustrate the inter-exchange potential between two devices by using HP's JetSend technology.

The JetSend protocol was developed by Hewlett-Packard to help devices such as printers, digital cameras, personal digital assistants and other information appliances to exchange communication information to arrive at a desired outcome. In the case of the Questra demonstration, product manufacturing companies can see first hand the exciting consumer applications afforded by Questra's Design Services as digital images are instantly sent infrared through a set top box to a video monitor. Another potential application could allow the same image to be remotely sent to the consumer's printer at the same time.
