Prince Digital Releases Version 2.0

Erithacus Software announces that version 2.0.0 of Prince Digital for Windows has now been uploaded to our web sites. Version 2 includes some major feature enhancements, and the good news is that all existing customers are entitled to a FREE upgrade (just enter your old password). Those of you who have not yet purchased the program get another 15 days trial period after downloading the new version.

The most significant improvements are illustrated on our home page at http://www.erithacus.com/princedigital and are summarized below:

  • Selective enlargement Selective enlargement allows portions of images to be expanded, letting you focus in on objects of interest and crop out unwanted parts. The original image file is not modified.
  • Improved print quality Bicubic spline interpolation gives much improved image quality at large print sizes, or with low/medium resolution images, by removing the characteristic digital "pixelated" effect. Combined with the new selective enlargement feature this lets you print image areas with resolutions as low as 640 x 480 at 10" x 8" and still get acceptable results.
  • Automatic image exposure correction option Many digital camera images suffer from underexposure, resulting in murky images. Our new exposure correction option allows such problems to be corrected automatically, without modifying the original image file.
