PhotoSpring started a Kickstarter Campaign to help fund and launch the PhotoSpring 8, banking that consumers will want a product that makes it easier to enjoy photos without as much work, since the PhotoSpring 8 uses advanced algorithms to gather photos from a variety of sources, then organizes them and displays the best ones on its high resolution display.

The PhotoSpring 8 uses Facial recognition technology to automatically identify and tag photos, and can even share them automatically with family and friends. It includes a search feature that makes it easy to find photos by people, location or date; and it also includes a includes a built-in, voice-activated digital assistant so that users can ask for information about weather, traffic, news and more.
