"Creating a beautifully produced photography book while retaining complete control of the creative process is what every artist craves," says Eileen Griffins, CEO and founder of Blurb, the company behind the third annual Photography Book Now competition.

The competition is designed to celebrate the very best in self-published photography books, and the photographers behind the creations.  Entries are accepted in Fine Art, Editorial, and Photography Portfolio categories, and prizes will be awarded to winners and runners up in each category.  Only one photographer will net the grand prize, a cool $25,000.

Photographers and experts alike will be on the jury for this year's competition.  Darius Hines will serve as a lead judge, and is joined by London Sunday Times photo editor Monica Allende, T: The New York Times Fashion Magazine photography editor Judith Puckett-Rinella and seven other judges from a range of experiences.
