Photographers Reveal the Behind-the-Scenes of their Worst Photographs

In classes and in our own studies, we tend to look at the greats to find the secrets of great photography. We search out the best photographs and listen to the stories behind them, trying to glean what makes them the very best. It's so rare though that we study the worst.

The Guardian put together an interesting article asking photographers for the story behind some of their worst shots and came away with some interesting results.

The real takeaway is that even the best photographers pull off some pretty crappy photos. Sometimes it just poor judgment call, sometimes it's a late reaction or a missed opportunity, and in the case Terry O'Neill, sometimes it's because Bob Dylan doesn't want to take his sunglasses off.
