Pentax Unveils Limited Edition Silver K-5 and Lenses

Pentax-K5-silver.jpgOne thing that point-and-shoots have over DSLRs is personality. When you get a $200 camera from Best Buy you choose from different colors and styles. When you jump up to a $2,000 DSLR you get stuck with the same exact look as everyone else.

The new silver edition Pentax K-5 switches things up a bit - it gives you an option besides black. The new camera offers more than a simple color change though. It features a new, exclusive grip to improve handling of the camera and shock-resistant reinforced glass for the LCD panel on the back of the camera.

In addition to the special edition K-5 DSLR, three prime lenses will be available in silver - the 21mm F3.2 AL, 40mm F2.8 and the 70mm F2.4.

The special edition silver camera will be available in April of this year at a price of $1,699.
