Pentax Releases K-7 Firmware Update

The third piece of firmware has been released for the Pentax K-7.  The first and second to come out for the camera added a bit of functionality.  1.01 provided a few new options to the custom menu, while 1.02 added a second degree of fine sharpness the camera's feature set.  Release 1.03 is just as important, but it's all passive.  There's nothing new to play with.

The new release adds lens correction for the following lenses: smc PENTAX-FA 31mmF1.8AL Limited, smc PENTAX-FA 43mmF1.9 Limited, and smc PENTAX-FA 77mmF1.8 Limited.  It also improves vertical position judgment as well as the stability of recording movies to some SDHC memory cards.

You can find the firmware update directly on the Pentax support site.  You can read our review on the Pentax K-7 camera here: Link
