Pentax Announces Three New Optio Models

Hot off the press, Pentax has just released three new compact Optio models. First we have the Optio E90. This is an entry-level compact digicam that offers 10-megapixels, a 3x optical zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD housed in a rubber coated body. This one retails for about US$99.99.

Next we have another compact model with a few added features. The first in their new "H" line, the Optio H90 offers a unique "contemporary" body design that is packed with high-end options. These include a 12-megapixel sensor, 28mm wide view 5x zoom, and 720p HD video recording. All for about US$179.99.

Finishing off this announcement is the Optio I-10. This is the most sophisticated Optio model yet, offering a retro look and feel. It boasts similar features to the H90, with 12-megapixels, a wide 5x zoom, 2.7-inch LCD, and 720p HD video mode. More advanced features include mechanical sensor-shift and Pixel Track Shake Reduction technologies, Smile Capture, Blink Detection and an improved Face Detection system that can detect not only human faces (up to 32), but your lovable pets Whiskers and Rover as well. This one sports a price tag of about US$299.99.
