Pentax Japan has now officially launched their Pentax Digital SLR website which follows a week after Canon's dSLR website was announced (see 7/17/2005 breaking news). It features an overview of the inner and outer workings of an SLR camera and their benefits. There is a look at the Pentax SLR family, from the first one produced in 1952 and all of their other "firsts" such as first with TTL metering and first with auto focus. Future additions to the website will be a virtual showroom, photo technique workshop and a photo gallery. It's obvious that the digital SLR market is growing rapidly now that we have numerous cameras being sold for less than and they'll get even less expensive in the next couple of years.
