PDN and Rangefinder Announce a New Magazine - Pix, The Photographer's Field Guide

The folks at Photo District News and Rangefinder are going to be launching what they call "the first ever completely online magazine for professional and advanced amateur photographers." The magazine is called Pix, and it sounds incredibly cool.

Issue number one will release on December 8th, 2011 and will feature over 100 pages of tips, how-to guides, news, photographer profiles and the latest up-to-date information about photography gear. Specifically, the first issue will talk about the essential gear, processing tips and upcoming workshops.

"The new Pix online magazine provides photographers with insight into fast-paced digital imaging technologies while also focusing on the photography and techniques of master photographers," says WPPI director and Rangefinder publisher George Varanakis.

Pix launches on December 8th and will be free to subscribers through iTunes, email and via the PDN and Rangefinder websites.
