Panorama Factory V4.2 Adds Support for Multi-Core and 64-Bit Processors

Pittsburgh, PA - January 3, 2005--Smoky City Design, LLC has released two new editions of The Panorama Factory, its popular software product for creating panoramic images.

The Panorama Factory m32 Edition runs on single- and multi-processor computers, delivering improved stitching speed on multi-processor systems (including multi-core systems) by performing image computations in parallel. The m32 Edition requires Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2003 or Windows Vista.

The Panorama Factory x64 Edition runs on the x64 Edition of Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 or Windows Vista. 64-bit processing enables The Panorama Factory to create images that are nearly 1000 times larger than the maximum under Windows XP on a 32-bit processor. This version runs on single- and multi-processor computers, delivering improved stitching speed on multi-processor systems (including multi-core systems) by performing image computations in parallel. The x64 Edition requires a 64-bit processor with the x64 architecture such as AMD Athlon 64, AMD Turion 64, AMD Opteron, Intel Xeon with EM64T or Intel Pentium with EM64T.
