Panasonic Lumix FX78 Does On-Camera Editing

Not everyone has the time, the skill and the desire to move their photos to the computer and edit them before posting online. It's probably not a stretch to say that most people take a picture from their camera and then immediately put it up on Facebook without editing even entering into their mind as a possibility.

Panasonic's new FX78 (FX77 in Europe) is for the layman without the patience for Photoshop. It allows you to edit your photos without having to move them to a computer, and it's been selling like crazy over in Japan.

"Around 50 percent of our digital camera clients are not satisfied with the way their faces look in a photograph," says Panasonic project manager Akiko Enoki. "We came up with the idea so our clients can fix parts they don't like about their faces after they've taken the picture."

With the FX78, you can apply quick fixes to a photo that you've taken. With the Beauty Retouch Mode you can emphasize eyes, whiten teeth, clear up skin, remove shine and even add a bit of makeup all with the touch of a button.
