Panasonic DMC-GX1 and Lumix G Vario 100-300mm Firmware Updates Coming This Month

Firmware updates can be a lot of fun - almost like getting an upgraded version of your existing camera for free. That's what GX1 owners are getting anyway, as several of the camera's functions are getting tweaked and improved.

For starters, the auto white balance feature has been improved, as have the AF Flexible and AF Continuous modes. You'll find new menu options and a few smaller tweaks here and there.

The Lumix G Vario 100-300mm F4.0-5.6 Mega O.I.S. lens got an update too, improving the performance of the optical image stabilizer.

Both updates will be available from Panasonic later on this month.
