Panasonic Announces New Lumix G-series 3D Lens and Three Camcorders

Panasonic has just unveiled three new digital camcorders, along with the development of the World's first interchangeable 3D twin lens system for their G-series of Micro Four Third Lumix digital cameras. Using twin-lens technology, this new lens unit will allow you to capture stunning 3D photos with your G-series Panasonic camera, like the DMC-GF1. Unfortunately no images have been released of this new lens system, however Panasonic has stated that this unit should be released by the end of this year (2010).

Each new camcorder covers a specific demographic, like the pocket-sized HM-TA1. This tiny unit boasts full 1080p HD video, an integrated USB terminal, 2.0-inch LCD monitor, EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) system, cool color modes, Apple's iFrame video format (960 x 540/30p) and effortless sharing with social sites like FaceBook and YouTube with the included software. All this can be had for about $169.95 US.





SDX1_hand3_750.jpgNext is the HDC-SDX1, another small yet capable digital camcorder. This unit is one of Panasonic's lightest full HD camcorders, weighing in at a mere 0.41lbs. On top of it's full 1080p HD video offering, the SDX1 sports a 23x intelligent zoom system, Apple's iFrame video format, Hybrid optical image stabilization, rotating 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD, Intelligent scene selection, Face detection and Face recognition technologies, and much more. This one will retail for about $499,95 US.




SDT750_slant_750.jpgSaving the best for last, we have the HDC-SDT750. This is the world's first consumer level 3D camcorder, which can capture true-to-life 3D content. When the 3D adapter is removed, the SDT750 can capture high-quality full 1080p HD video, thanks in part to its 3MOS image sensor configuration. Other powerful features include a 12x optical zoom lens, Time-lapse recording mode, 5.1 channel audio recording, iAuto mode for effortless recording, Hybrid O.I.S., AF/AE tracking, intelligent scene selection, a large rotating 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD, and Pre-Rec mode to name a few. The HDC-SDT750 will retail for approx. $1399.95 US.
