Olympus Releases Firmware Update for the E-P1
Yesterday, Olympus announced a new firmware update for the Olympus PEN E-P1. While it's still not showing up on their USA website, v1.2 is available. Firmware Version 1.2 provides the following updates:
- Improved performance when using the Manual Focus (MF) assist function
- Enables 'Rec View' when the monitor's back light is set to the off position.
To download and install this firmware update, simply open your Olympus Master software, connect the camera via USB to the computer (internet access in required). Choose the Update Camera function from the Online Service menu in Olympus Master, and the update will commence immediately.
