Olympus Celebrates 75 Years of Zuiko Lenses

MZ_concept_Front.jpgIf you've worked at a company for 25 years, you're typically in store for a party and a few gifts. If you've been married for 50 years, it's all about gold. What do you get a company that's been making lenses for 75 years?

Olympus is celebrating 75 years of Zuiko lenses - first introduced on the 1936 Semi-Olympus I camera - by paying tribute to the past. At the Camera and Photo Imaging show in Yokohama, Japan, Olympus will be displaying the successor to that camera, the Semi Olympus II which was introduced in 1938.

Of course, the company will be embracing the future as well. They're bringing a M.ZUIKO single focus concept lens to the show. This high end Micro Four Thirds lens is expected to launch later this year.
