Olympus Announces the Beginning of OM-D
The E-M5 shares a somewhat similar specifications sheet to the E-P3 from late last year, but with some obvious upgrades and differences; this is Not a Digital PEN. First off, the E-M5 offers a high-quality EVF that's built into the body; and also has almost identical specs to the external VF-2. Next, they gave the camera a rugged magnesium alloy frame, which has the classic OM look and feel. This unit is also weatherproof and dustproof, making it the first EVIL or ILC camera to offer these specifications. Resolution has been bumped up with a newly developed 16.1-megapixel Live MOS image sensor, and they topped it off with a tilting 3.0-inch touch screen OLED display.
