Olympus Announces OM-D E-M1X & OM-D E-M1 Mark II Silver Micro FourThirds Cameras

Likewise, beyond the brand new model, Olympus has also announced plans to release a special silver version of its OM-D E-M1 Mark II.

The OM-D E-M1X is a professional micro four thirds interchangeable lens camera with a 4/3" Live MOS Sensor and Dual TruePic VII processors for an effective pixel count of 20.4 million. In addition, the device features an integrated vertical grip for secure operation whether users hold the camera horizontally or vertically. And according to Olympus, the unit offers "the world's highest image stabilization performance with approximately 7.5 shutter speed steps of compensation." Likewise, the unit incorporates a precise autofocus system with AF Multi-Selector, 121-point all-cross-type on-chip Phase Detection AF Sensor, and Intelligent Subject Detection AF.

Meanwhile, the camera also features support for up to 60 fps high-speed continuous shooting, along with a Pro Capture Mode that can record up to 35 frames at 20 million pixels retroactively from when the shutter button is released. Finally, when it comes to video capture, the device is capable of 4K video recording with 5-Axis Image Stabilization and electronic stabilization, as well as 120 fps high-speed Full HD recording.
