Olympus Japan today announced a new flat and thin 3.2-megapixel, 3x optical internal zoom lens digital camera designated the Camedia AZ-1. It closely resembles the Sony T1 and Konica Minolta DiMAGE X series of ultra-thin cameras. It features a new, high-resolution Sharp 2.5-inch color LCD with a wide 160°viewing angle and improved daylight visibility. Currently, the AZ-1 is only scheduled to be sold in the Japanese market and available at the end of May 2004. We got no press release on this camera from Olympus America so check out the information at either LetsGoDigital's site or over at Imaging-Resource's site.
