Olympus and PDN Launch New Website
Olympus Imaging America Inc. and Photo District News Magazine, the award-winning photographic monthly magazine, have joined forces to create www.pdnonline.com/visionage. The website will be available online starting October 14, 2004. No fee to access the website is required.www.pdnonline.com/visionage will be a great value to photography aficionados. The webzine will deliver industry news, Olympus product reviews, as well as in depth features highlighting the photography of Olympus Visionaries, a group of elite digital photographers honored by Olympus for their images.
“Behind The Shot” will be a regular column offering insight into the making of exceptional photos. Each month an Olympus Visionary will speak about one of his/her images. What led up to the shot? Why does he/she think its powerful? In the first webzine, award-winning photographer Joel Meyerowitz speaks of an image he shot along New York’s Fifth Avenue featuring a homeless man outside the University Club.
