NYTimes.com, Canon U.S.A. and Kaidan Team Up For Panoramic Views of 2004 Political Conventions

NYTimes.com, Canon U.S.A. Inc., Lake Success, NY, USA, and Kaidan Inc., Feasterville, Pa., USA, teamed up for last week's Democratic National Convention in Boston and will team up for the upcoming Republican National Convention starting Aug. 30 in New York City, using Kaidan's EventCam and Immersive Imaging solutions to capture and publish 360-degree interactive panoramic images. EventCam uses 10 Canon PowerShot S60 digital cameras to simultaneously capture a panoramic image. The PowerShot S60 is outfitted with Canon's optics and comes equipped with a wide-angle focal length of 28mm. The panoramic images can be viewed at NYTimes.com/conventions and require QuickTime Player for viewing (available for free at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/).
