Nikon Unveils Two New Coolpix Digital Cameras

Nikon has just announced two new Coolpix models, the S1100pj and S5100. Both offer appealing features for their price points, with the S5100 being an affordable point-n-shoot designed for those seeking an easy-to-use compact camera. Key features on the S5100 include 12-megapixels, a 5x optical zoom lens, 4-way VR image stabilization, a 2.7-inch LCD and 720p HD video recording. With a estimated retail price of only $179.95 US, this is sure to be a popular seller in the months to come.


Next we have the second generation of Nikon's "Projector" line of compact digicams. The only manufacturer to offer such a specification, Nikon's latest entry offers even more power with a 14-lumen internal projector that can display a 47-inch picture on a flat surface up to 7 feet away. The Coolpix S1100pj also boasts 14-megapixels of resolution, a wide view Zoom-NIKKOR 5x optical zoom lens, 5-way VR image stabilization, and a large 3.0-inch LCD with 460k dots. All this for just $349.95 US
