Nikon Unveils the J5, a Powerful, Yet Compact ILC

Nikon has just unveiled a new compact ILC, the Nikon 1 J5. This model builds off of the Nikon 1 J4 we reviewed in late 2014, with some appealing upgrades. For starters, they included a new 20.8MP CX-format BSI CMOS image sensor, which is the first BSI type sensor to be featured in a Nikon 1 camera.

Next they bumped up the J5's processing power with their EXPEED 5A image processor, giving it the ability to not only record full 1080/60p and 4K/15p video, but also shoot full resolution images at up to 20fps with full AF.
