Nikon Unveils New AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G Lens

This fast and versatile prime lens is designed specifically for DX-format (APS-C) Nikon DSLRs, with a minimum focusing distance of 6.4-inches. Nikon boasts this unit is great for "extreme close-up photographs and High Definition (HD) video with a life-size 1:1 reproduction ratio". The 60mm equivalent field of view is also great for portraits, product photography, and other close-ups.
