Nikon Releases New Telephoto Optics

Nikon has just announced two new products for their D-series SLR bodies, the AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/2.8G ED VR II telephoto lens and AF-S TC-20E III 2x teleconverter. The NIKKOR 300mm ED VR II boasts a fast f/2.8 aperture, offering the versatility and speed that industry professional photographers depend on.

The TC-20E III teleconverter is an ideal accessory to mate with the new NIKKOR 300mm f/2.8. This unit offers double the focal
length coverage when attached to certain lenses. Nikon also claims that this is the world's first teleconverter to offer an aspherical element. The TC-20E III can be had for about US $499.95.
Both items will be available sometime in January, 2010.
